PRINCE OF WALES UMBRELLA BY BRIGG (No.96)
This
Umbrella is most remarkable. ...The perfect formal, evening umbrella
as well as the perfect everyday umbrella!
This Umbrella is our two piece Malacca Cane with a Hallmarked Sterling
Silver Nose Cap and a Sterling Silver Collar engraved with our Royal
Warrant. And, the only umbrella we are
able to apply a "Cap" to. Each Sterling Nose Cap is hand
produced by to fit exactly over the tip of a specific Malacca Cane crook
handle. The gentleman who produces several of our magnificent sterling
dress sticks also produces the cap for these very special and very elegant
umbrellas.
Generally available in size 26 and 27 with a Black Nylon canopy and English
Waterproofed Silk Canopy.
English Waterproofed Silk canopy available with an additional fee of
$500.00
As the collar is Sterling Silver we are able to offer hand engraved
personalization in addition to machine engraved personalization.
Typically engraving includes initials. With hand engraving (which is only
available with a pure metal such as Sterling Silver) we are also able to offer
personalization to include a full name and full name and telephone number.
Our Hand Engraving takes place in the States by a master engraver, ...his
work is exquisite.
We are delighted to let you know
of our brilliant customer who asked about the possibility of a Gold Plated
Prince of Wales Umbrella, ...yes, we are able to produce one! The cap
on the end of the crook as well as the collar will be gold. The fee
for such an umbrella with a nylon canopy will be $635.00.
We
are pleased to produce a bespoke umbrella in the canopy colour of your choosing.

Truly lovely wood; ...the Maple Umbrellas we are seeing now are as lovely as you
see in the photograph. Beautiful honey coloured hues that look beautiful with

POLISHED CHESTNUT SOLID SHAFT
UMBRELLA BY BRIGG (No.110)
Our Polished Chestnut Solid Shaft Umbrela.
Most often requested as a size 26 with a Black Brigg Nylon canopy and a Gold
Plated Royal Warrant collar.
Our Polished Chestnut is lovely. The wood has a lot of charm
and a little bit of character.
The shaft is a honey colour. The handle is various shades of honey,
tan, and medium brown. The tip of the handle exposes the honey colour.
Quite nice with a Gold Plate collar. The
gold colour is beautiful
with the colours in the wood.
This umbrella is the only solid
shaft umbrella with a polished chestnut handle. You will find a
polished chestnut handle offered on our Collapsible umbrellas as well as our
Golf range. With our Collapsible and Golf range the handles are
attached to a shaft, making them a two-piece umbrella. With this umbrella the crook and shaft are one continuous piece. If you are
using this umbrella as a walking stick, from the tip of the crook to the
ferrule, touching the ground, it is one continuous piece of wood. The
handle portion is the actual width of the branch, the shaft is carved
thinner. The shaft portion will be a lighter colour, a little darker
than what you see at the tip of the crook, but certainly lighter than the
crook portion. If you take a look at the tip of the crook you will see
the rings from the branch of the tree.

BARK CHESTNUT SOLID SHAFT UMBRELLA BY BRIGG (No.108)
Fabulous texture, beautiful finish; ...a terrific "Country Umbrella" full
of character. The handle has wonderful texture, yet quite comfortable to
hold.
Available in a size 26 and 27 with a Black Brigg Nylon canopy and Gold Plate
or Sterling Silver Royal Warrant Band.

Fantastic Umbrella with either a Gold Plated or Sterling Silver Royal Warrant collar and a Nylon
canopy,
...or Waterproofed English Silk for an additional fee of $500.00 USD.
This, like the others, includes a Mother-of-pearl button closure.
Each Whangee will look
different from the next. Do notice the dark colour on the underside of the
crook. This is due to the burning of the cane when bending it by hand.
This umbrella is typically produced in a size 26, also available in a size
25 and for the taller gent, a size 27.

With a detachable Malacca Cane crook handle and end piece, created using a frame to match a size 26

we are seeing now are full of character. The wood grain is lovely.
A perfect multi-use umbrella.
Shown with a gold plated Royal Warrant collar
which looks lovely with this wood. A variety of canopy fabrics will
often be available with a Hickory shaft. The black Brigg nylon is
always available, although if you are looking for something special, do
enquire. As with the rest of the range, there is a Mother-of-Pearl button closure.

The
wood is beautiful; ...dark brown with fairly distinctive very dark brown and
black graining. This is an very elegant and formal umbrella that looks

Elsbere Wood (pronounced "L's bear") is a lovely, highly polished wood,
which unfortunately is unavailable at this time. When this was a recent addition to our collection, it
was used used as a replacement for the Apple Wood which has been so popular in the past. Apple Wood is no longer readily available, ...the trees simply are no longer tall enough to acquire the necessary lengths of wood.
